The statutory diagnostics a French seller must provide (energy rating, asbestos, lead and so on) check regulatory compliance on specific points. They say nothing about the condition of the building. Our inspection assesses the property itself: the structure, roof and damp, the working order of the electrics, plumbing, ventilation and heating, and the works you should budget for. The two are complementary.
Ideally during the ten-day cooling-off period that follows the signing of the compromis de vente, the French preliminary contract. We can also inspect before you commit, to help you decide whether to make an offer at all.
